1 April - TRIG raises £300m through placement; Blankenburg Connection PPP; Trillium Line extension

The Renewables Infrastructure Group Limited (TRIG) has raised £302.1 million after completing an oversubscribed placing; HICL to invest £50m in Blankenburg Connection PPP; SNC-Lavalin subsidiary TransitNEXT has reached financial close on the Trillium Line Extension project in Canada's capital city of Ottawa.

27 March - Sunnica proposes East England solar plant; EDF in China; OPD Energy secures new solar financing with Marguerite in Spain

Wirsol and Sunnica Energy seek environmental approval to build a 500MW solar power plant with lithium-ion storage in the East of England. EDF Group partners with China Energy Investment Corporation for offshore wind. OPD and Marguerite achieve financial close on three 50MW Spanish solar projects.

IADB agrees $87m loan to finance water projects in Ecuador;  Metito-led consortium sounds out banks for Saudi plant;Lead arranger awarded for gas-fired Guernsey power plant

20 March - New solar project planned in Arkansas; CAF backing Trinidad road improvements; Former Carillion nominee to take over Kier Group

Entergy Arkansas and NextEra Energy Resources are planning a 100MW solar plant near Searcy, White County. The Development Bank of Latin America (CAF) has approved a US$200 million loan to improve Trinidad and Tobago's road network. UK construction company Kier Group has appointed Andrew Davies as chief executive to replace Haydn Mursell, who left the firm in the wake of the poor reception of its £250 million emergency rights issue.

First State Investments nears refi on two Iberian wind portfolios; UK government contractor Interserve has failed to approve its rescue package at a shareholders meeting and has entered into administration;   The Danish government has allocated about 6.7 million euro for new wind turbine testing facilities at the Lindø Offshore Renewables Center

18 March -Macedonia developing renewable capacity; Boosting the green economy in Morocco; Preferred bidder announced on Walney extension

The Government of North Macedonia is set to launch the first phase of a new model for developing renewable capacity; European Bank for Reconstruction and Development provided a financial package to BMCE Bank of Africa to boost investments in the green economy in Morocco; Diamond Transmission partners announced as the preferred bidder on the UK Walney extension 

14 March - Ocean Sun's floating solar in Albania; Swedish wind fail; Australian airport rail link

Statkraft Albania will use Ocean Sun's floating solar technology; Swedish firm Eolus Vind has failed an EIA; and the Australian Jemalong solar project is being acquired by Genex Power.
