First State Investments nears refi on two Iberian wind portfolios; UK government contractor Interserve has failed to approve its rescue package at a shareholders meeting and has entered into administration;   The Danish government has allocated about 6.7 million euro for new wind turbine testing facilities at the Lindø Offshore Renewables Center

18 March -Macedonia developing renewable capacity; Boosting the green economy in Morocco; Preferred bidder announced on Walney extension

The Government of North Macedonia is set to launch the first phase of a new model for developing renewable capacity; European Bank for Reconstruction and Development provided a financial package to BMCE Bank of Africa to boost investments in the green economy in Morocco; Diamond Transmission partners announced as the preferred bidder on the UK Walney extension 

14 March - Ocean Sun's floating solar in Albania; Swedish wind fail; Australian airport rail link

Statkraft Albania will use Ocean Sun's floating solar technology; Swedish firm Eolus Vind has failed an EIA; and the Australian Jemalong solar project is being acquired by Genex Power. 
 

13 March - EKF in Vietnam; Indian wind and dam upgrades; EQT closes new fund

The World Bank agrees extra financing the rehabilitation of dams in India; final offers are submitted for the RCEA motorway upgrade project in France; and infranode is investing in a new greenfield container terminal in Sweden.

11 March - TRIG looks to raise £171m; Washington State introduces solar, New Mexico looks to go coal-free

The Renewables Infrastructure Group Limited (TRIG) is looking to raise 171 million pounds from a new issuance program; Washington State leases land for a solar project for the first time; New Mexico begins to lay plans to be coal free by 2045.

07 March - EIB in Romania; Austrian broadband; a new Gambian infra fund

The EIB is financing clean water in Romania, whilst Austria’s first broadband project finance deal reaches financial close. Finally, the Gambia could be launching a new infrastructure fund.

Hybrid Renewables; Middle East Integrated Solar Battery Projects; US Naval Power Plant

Hybrid renewable and battery storage system projects have been proven bankable following the first non-recourse deal in 2018, and the deal pipeline is expected to grow; Jordan’s government set the template for successful solar and wind farm financing; and a 7.4MW power plant is being built for the US Navy Submarine Base in Connecticut.
