17 April - Starbucks to be offtaker for Texas Solar; GE steps away from French offshore wind; Lima Aiport will have 12 lenders for expansion

Starbucks has agreed a 70MW offtake from eight Cypress Creek-owned solar projects in Texas to supply power to 360 stores across the state. GE Renewable Energy has signed a MoU with Eolien Maritime France (EMF) enabling it to terminate its involvement in two long-delayed offshore wind farms that boast a combined capacity of 1GW. The $1.8 billion Lima Airport in Peru is expected to close in Q3 2019 to finance the expansion of a second runway and passenger terminal.

04 April - Phoenix wind project launched in Spain; DIF sells solar portfolio; PSP and NIIF create Indian infrastructure platform

The 342MW Phoenix Wind Project is launched in Spain. UK Research and Innovation is funding four energy demonstrator projects. The Indian road sector is receiving USD 2Bn of funding through a new platform set up by PSP Investments and and India's National Investment and Infrastructure Fund.

The first in a series of interviews with speakers at Proximo's upcoming European Infrastructure and Renewables Finance Exchange, taking place on 30-31 May in sunny Lisbon. 
This is the full unedited interview with Pablo Otin, CEO of Powertis, a large scale PV solar developer, active in Europe and Latin America. Pablo will be hosting an idea lab on corporate PPAs in Lisbon.
The conference will bring together 200 governments, developers, institutional investors, funds and lenders in European energy and infrastructure.
