30 May - Innergex to build 7.5MW Innavik hydro project

In today's news: 
Innergex Renewable Energy Inc and Pituvik Landholding Corporation have agreed to build the 7.5-MW Innavik run-of-river hydroelectric generating station on the Inukjuak River in northern Quebec.
The Quebec Port Authority (QPA) has signed an agreement with Hutchison Ports and Canadian National Railway (CN) to build and operate a new container terminal
Private equity investment fund SmartPitch Ventures has acquired a controlling interest in Maryland-based solar developer New Energy Equity.
BayWa r.e. has acquired Forsa Energy’s Riverstone-backed  UK renewable energy business and its 350MW pipeline of Scottish onshore wind farms.

The Metropistas toll road in Puerto Rico has issued USD 120mn in bonds to refinance a loan
US waste-to-energy group EQTEC will partner with Phoenix Biomass Energy to develop gasification plants 
Power Producer Central Puerto will reach close on a USD 56mn loan from KfW IPEX for a cogeneration project in Mendoza, Argentina.

21 May - MUFG rethinks policy on coal-fired power projects

The Ohio Power Siting Board has authorized the construction of two solar projects with a combined capacity of 470MW in Hardin and Highland counties.
Vineyard Wind has awarded a €200 million euro contract for the provision of a submarine cable system to the Prysmian Group
MUFG has put out a revised environmental and social policy framework, highlighting that they will no longer provide financing for new coal-fired power generation projects after July 1st.

20 May - Greece tenders ultrafast fibre network through PPP

Genesis and Tilt Renewables have finalised a 20-year electricity offtake agreement for the proposed 130MW Waverley Wind Farm located in New Zealand.
TerniEnergia to sell Italian 19.3MW solar portfolio comprised of 22 solar plants 
The Greek Digital Policy Ministry has announced a tender to develop an ultrafast broadband infrastructure (UFBB) network through a public-private partnership - the largest ever in Greece
