Macquarie’s Green Investment Group has entered an agreement to acquire a 40% stake in the 714MW East Anglia ONE offshore wind farm from Iberdrola’s ScottishPower Renewables.
Local utility St Kitts Electric Company and energy storage company Leclanche SA are planning the largest solar-plus-storage project in the Caribbean on the island of St Kitts.
Infrastructure Ontario and the Ministry of Government and Consumer Services have awarded a fixed-price contract to Fengate PCL Progress Partners for the Macdonald Block Reconstruction Project.

12 August - Solar plus storage in the Bahamas; approval for renewables in South Australia; and updates on West Bakr Wind in Egypt

The Bahamas is planning to install solar-plus-storage projects and hybrid microgrids to improve access and resilience on four of its 30 inhabited islands
South Australia's State Commission Assessment Panel has given its approval for Neoen's $500 million renewables project in the Southern Flinders Ranges near Crystal Brook
More details have emerged on Lekela's $252 million debt financing for its 250MW West Bakr Wind project in Egypt.

Australia’s BHP has approved $283 million (BHP share) in funding to develop the Ruby project located offshore Trinidad and Tobago.
US residential solar firm Vivint has secured a $325 million revolving warehouse facility to refinance an aggregation credit facility that was set to mature in 2020.
Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro has authorised the launch of a solar auction programme to power a major water transfer project

08 August - Sirius Minerals suspends bond issue for mining project in Yorkshire

In today's news:
Sirius Minerals is suspending the $500 million bond issue for its Woodsmith polyhalite mining project in Yorkshire due to volatile market conditions.
Equinor has entered an agreement with Argentine energy company YPF Luz to buy a 50% holding in Luz del Leon
Macquarie Infrastructure and Real Assets (MIRA) has agreed to acquire Ocean Breeze Energy from Unicredit.
The French government's sixth and final auction for ground-mounted solar PV has seen 107 developers successfully bidding on 858MW of capacity.

07 August - KGAL lines up sale of 5 Spanish solar farms by year end

Infrastructure Ontario and Hopital Montfort have signed a C$59.7 million ($45 million) fixed-price contract with EllisDon Infrastructure Healthcare for the building and financing of the Orleans Health Hub Project. 
Caliber Midstream Holdings has acquired crude oil gathering and pipeline assets in North Dakota from American Midstream Partners
Canada-based Pure Gold Mining has closed a $90 million project financing package with Sprott Resource Lending Corp for the development of an underground mine at its Madsen Gold Project.
KGAL GmbH & Co has structured the sale of five solar PV plants in Spain by the end of the year. Two 5MW solar farms were sold to a Spanish fund in July 2019

We Energies and Madison Gas and Electric (MGE) have announced a new partnership to acquire the remaining 150MW of the Badger Hollow Solar Farm located in southwestern Wisconsin, in Iowa County.
Foresight Solar Fund Limited completed a £245 million debt refinancing for a portfolio of 28 UK solar assets with a combined installed capacity of 321MW

05 August - New solar auctions and hydro tender coming this month in Ecuado

Warburg Pincus-backed Trident Energy has put in place a reserve-based lending acquisition financing to fund its $1 billion purchase of the Pampo and Enchova oil clusters in Brazil from Petrobras.
Ecuador plans to launch an auction for the 200MW El Aromo solar PV project and the 46MW Villonaco II and 56MW Villonaco III wind concessions on 28 August.
Neoen has acquired full ownership of eight operational wind farms in Ireland with total capacity of 53.4 MW.
